Who are Above Bounds?

Above Bounds was founded by Helen Bovey and George Boundy after graduating from East 15 Acting School on the BA World Performance Course. Armed with an eclectic mix of skills including mask, puppetry and comedy, we began developing visually led pieces of theatre for a family audience. We collaborate with a wide variety of artists including actors, musicians, illustrators and dancers and work on a project-by-project basis. Together we have collaborated on projects for the Southend Carnival Archive Association, Vision Redbridge, Brixfest and primary schools across the UK.

We are based in the beautiful county of Devon  but have strong links in Suffolk and Essex. We feel strongly that theatre is for EVERYONE and aim to bring our work to a variety of locations and communities.

Our manifesto:

To create physical work with an interesting story at it’s heart, a story that can educate, entertain and inspire.

To work with a mixture of mediums, puppetry, mask and comedy.

To make work for everyone and to generate collaborations between artists and art forms.

To create innovate work for family audiences.

“An exciting emerging company with a great creative approach”Sam Worboys, Producer
